I'm amazed at how people with different skill levels (from absolute beginners to seasoned pros) can play and enjoy this game. The music, graphics, and animations are also top notch - the game has that Nintendo polish. It's a fantastic mechanic that ensures lots of variety, and they all control very well. The unique hook of this game is the ability to take control of various enemies and objects. Compared to other Mario games, there is more focus on exploration (having to search out the moons) but there are also self contained areas testing pure platforming skills. Pretty much every activity in the game is incredibly fun. The minute to minute gameplay is incredibly fun and the game sustains this for hours on end. This is probably the pinnacle of 3D platform games. Lots of content too I've played for about 70 hours trying to collect all 800 power moons!
